San Diego, CA - The feeling of being drafted by San Diego could easily be described as ironic by Zak Trokker after falling to the Marlins in the second round. No, the irony wasn't because the Peace Player Agency predicted the fall well before the draft, but rather San Diego is the only team Trokker has registered a VHLM goal against. In fact he scored a hat trick against the Marlins in a 5-2 victory while playing for the Reapers, earning the game winning goal in the process and his only three goals of the season; perhaps San Diego drafted the RW so that'd never happen again.

"Who am I going to score against now?" Trokker joked. "Philly?"

"Truthfully I'm excited to join the Marlins. They had a pretty strong draft, and management did really well in free agency; the team went from no forwards to six in a few short hours."

When asked about how the agency predicted a slide, Rylan Peace noted that the majority of players taken in the first round have a slower development trajectory than those selected as an asset for a deep playoff run. "The VHLM GM's have to plan for their teams future too, so it makes sense that the first round has a few players who will be here [in the minors] longer than those who are developing rapidly. There's, uh, sometimes a strategy behind every decision so I imagine Trokker dropped in favor of players who'd be in the minors longer for a season or two."
