Miami Marauder Player Spotlight- Tina Hughes

This week’s Miami Marauder Player spotlight is defender, Tina Hughes @tinafrombobsburgers.  Hughes a late acquisition coming at time when Miami desperately needed to fill a role on defense, as they only had two after losing one to inactivity. And what a gift Hughes turned out to be.  

 

Hughes plays a rugged style of defense and pairs well with either Dog Jagr or Miami’s other defender, Armas Jortikka.   So far at 14 games in Hughes has 8 assist (including a 3 assist game) , 22 PIMs, and 31 hits, which leads the team.  Even better is Hughes is earning at an incredible rate which means a huge leap for Miami in defensive play as they battle Ottawa and Halifax for the top spot in the Eastern conference.  A great locker room presence and all-around complete defender the Marauders are going to be a complete team by playoffs.

 

Miami has won four of its last five games with two games today against rival Mississauga and Philly.  Best of luck Marauders!
