JENSEN THRIVING DESPITE BEING INCREDIBLY ANCIENT

 

Viktor Jensen has been a really consistent solid offensive contributor for his entire career.  He will ultimately reach the 700 point plateau with relative ease, despite the fact that he only has hit the 100 point mark once.  And while his nine season career will be a big reason why, his current pace is an indication of just how impressive he has been for quite some time.  

 

At this stage in the season, Jensen currently sits tied for 6th in points and is on pace for 110 points.  He is 18 goals and 34 assists back of Malmo's respective franchise record holders, after already taking over the points title this season.  What does Jensen credit for his strong play thus far? "Really good teammates honestly.  They just keep pulling me through.  I'm an old man compared to some of these guys, but between my fellow veterans and the younger crop here, the atmosphere is amazing and it really creates a thriving culture."

 

While the season is long, Malmo is starting to hit their peak and has been red hot of late.  The Nighthawks have vaulted all the way to first place in the entire league with a 16-4-1 record and 33 points.  If players like Jensen, Leitner, Kemp, Tzesar, Rave and MacWallace all keep up or even increase their current play, they may finally be ready to change it up once the games really start to count.
