Smarch 3,214
Trades I have been involved in the VHL according to the Portal Ariel Weinstein: This one isn’t on the portal but one I distinctively remember due to the nature of the trade. In Season forty-nine I was currently under contact with the Stockholm Vikings. After going for a Continental Cup, the previous season and falling short, Stockholm was looking to sell assets to restock the cupboard. Unfortunately having my less than stellar goalie in net was a determent to the rebuilding process so I can up with an idea I presented to the General Manager at the time Benoit Prévos better know as boubabi. I offered to hold out on my contract which made me ineligible to play in games for Stockholm. Holding out helped the Vikings in the long run as they were able to obtain the first overall puck in season fifty, while also trading my goalie to New York for Atticus Von Braxton IV and a season fifty-one second round pick. Unfortunately trading for Weinstein would not pay off for the Americans, as I put up 33-11-0 record in forty-four regular season games, led the team to a first round exit posting a 2-4-0 record in the playoffs. Kevin Low: The next mediocre player on the list is defenseman Kevin Low. Low was my attempt at trying to regain my greatest VHL years I had with Kevins’ “father” Connor Low. Low was drafted thirty-first overall by the Seattle Bears, where I spent two seasons playing for the team in season sixty-seven and sixty-eight. Again, I would have a player traded back to the New York Americans, this time with a season seventy Moscow third for Guy LeGrande, who would play four seasons with Seattle and have a much better career than Low could even think of. Low would only end up spending one year in New York, putting up only forty-five points in that one year. After the one year in New York, I would be signed as a free agent with Vancouver and promptly retire at the end of the season. Low continues my legacy of creating sub-par players, putting up forty-eight goals and 145 points in only 288 games played, winning one Continental Cup with Seattle in season sixty-eight. Lester Green: Next on the list is Lester Green a centerman from America that was drafted thirteenth overall in the season seventy-four draft by the Los Angeles Stars. Green would play two full seasons with Los Angeles before being shipped off to the Toronto Legion along with a season seventy-eight Los Angeles second round pick for fellow and much better centerman John Merrick just six games into season seventy-six. Green would spend the parts of four seasons with the Legion putting up a respectable eighty-three goals and 180 assists in 282 regular seasons games. After the VHLs seventy-ninth season I would head to free agency, something my players rarely do in my time in the VHL. Fortunately, I found one team that was interested in my services in the D.C. Dragons. Green would end up playing two seasons for the Dragons which would happen to be Greens best VHL seasons. In 144 regular season games, Green would put up seventy goals and 138 assists. Green would also be only my third player in my VHL history to hit 1,000 TPE as he ended his career with 1,067 TPE but didn’t have much to show for it.
