Garsh 1,197 Posted yesterday at 05:07 AM Share Posted yesterday at 05:07 AM Dr Victor von Doom has been playing well despite his record being not great. Doom is currently sitting at 14 wins, 11 loses, and 2 overtime losses. Despite that he also has a .926 save percentage and a 1.85 goals against average. The save percentage puts him second in the league, behind his Ottawa teammate Vladimir Trunov. The goals against puts him at 8th in the league. Of course, Doom hasn’t been the teams starter so he has fewer starts than some of the others goalies, but his 27 games played is not an insignificant number. Ottawa is currently on track to make the playoffs. GM @Grape will once again be spoiled for choice come playoffs. Last season the Ottawa goalies nearly split games, 10 for Trunov and 9 for Doom. It may come down to who has the hot hand leading into playoffs. Whoever gets the start will be facing extra pressure knowing that the team has other options if they don’t perform. Hopefully splitting the starts will mean that both goalies are in good condition come playoff time.
