With a game to spare in the S97 regular season, Davos winger Gianfranco Del Rocco has hit a career-best points total of 83, beating his mark in S95, having already bettered his 40-goal haul from last season a few games ago. The last 4 points have also put him over 300 for his career, a respectable result halfway through the Italian's career.

“Certainly I was hoping for slightly more than incremental gains this season, but it's been a good second half of the season in particular,” Del Rocco said after the game with Malmo which confirmed his career season. “I think I underestimated the adaptation period a little bit, but now there are no excuses – we have to keep this performance level going into the playoffs and the next few seasons."

“300 is a good mark to have and it's a bit better than a point per game, but I have to do a lot more than double it in the next 4 seasons to have the career I want to have. I think the group we have here puts me in a good position to do so.”

Davos confirmed progression to the conference semi-finals as well, leaving Riga to contest what is probably the formality of a wildcard round against Prague. That means the Dynamo will face Moscow for a third straight season, with the Menace out for revenge after defeats in both S95 and S96.
