In light of a recent move made by rookie defenseman Titus Cunningham, rumor has it that the VHL is entering discussions with DEADLOCK Pro Wrestling (DPW). During the off-season, defensemen Titus Cunningham decided to enter a short-term contract with the DPW until whichever team drafts Cunningham calls on him to move to the respective city. While this move has brought on more skeptics from the VHL than supporters, the VHL has begun to see a rise in interest in professional hockey. Most of the new fans have direct ties to the DPW, and the league is considering whether or not a tie with the DPW would be beneficial to the VHL as a whole. While many in leadership remain skeptical, players around the league have rallied support for Cunningham and a move by the VHL to promote the DPW. Many fans in the VHL have found a new interest in professional wrestling, making this move beneficial for both the VHL and DPW. When asked about the possibility of a Christmas charity event involving Beketov @Beketov facing Cunningham in a no-holds-barred match, Cunningham said, "I'd love the opportunity to show my biggest critic how beneficial this will be. Plus, it would be awesome to give the fans, both of the VHL and DPW, the match of a lifetime." When we asked Beketov about his feelings on this, our messages were left on read. We are hopeful a response will come soon.
