ROOKIE745 621
Coming into the off season Kadachi was filled with a level of uncertainty, Chicago was clearly in need of a rebuild and a number of players had been traded out, however Kadachi was not one of them. Perhaps due to him being on the older side or just not being signed for any seasons beyond, it left him feeling unsure what would happen in free agency. "A part of me was wondering like what, no one wants a player who can net you 30 plus goals, get 70 plus points and just put up over 400 hits? I was a little shocked but I guess GM's would rather take the gamble with getting me in free agency." And that is exactly what happened, while reports says there wasn't a tone of interest in Kadachi, perhaps because of the penalty minutes, a handful of GM's did reach out to the left winger. Ultimately the Russian forward chose to sign with the Toronto Legion. "Doug was the second GM that reached out to me, I took a look at the rosters both teams had and felt I would fit in better with Toronto, I've also heard a lot of good things about the franchise, very strong commit and since I can only play two more seasons in the VHL I really wanted somewhere to lock down at for the rest of my time in the league." Kadachi is referring to the no trade clause in his contract that runs for his last two seasons.
