• The season has officially started. This is what I wanted, right? 10 games in an the cause for concern is already here. I still believe we are a playoff team, but damn Simon doesn't make things easy for us. So far the story has been goaltending, but at the end of the day if we can stay consistent and stay out of the box we should be a hard team to play agains - and hopefully find some wins. This likely could be NY's last run at the cup for a season or two, so I'm really hoping for the best here!
• In the VHLM, Pepe Silvia has been lights out. Mexico City has been on fire, and the squad is vibing. Silvia is leading the league in SAV% with .945 and is just behind the leader in GAA with 1.43 goals per game average. I am three games behind all the other goalies, as we get our backup games in earlier. But in return, I've been facing the harder opponents. I do hope to get an individual award with Silvia, but team success is most important. Also, I'd prefer a VHL Award, so that's what really matters. However, I did intentionally stay back in the VHLM to help Mexico win, so I hope we can make that happen.
• Been a busy week for me. Worked 50+ hours and was covering for a number of other managers this week. I'm pretty beat. The weather has been nice, we are seeing the rain melt the snow away and melt the seasonal depression away.. Golf soon. March Madness Starting up.. Lots to be excited about this week(s) coming.
