David David Settling In

As predicted, David David has had a rough start to his VHLM career. Not that much was expected out of the S99 draftee, but even so he's struggled slightly more than most thought he would. Scoring aside, because he'll never produce too many goals, he hasn't really contributed toward driving offence on the San Diego Marlins. He's on pace for 25 points which is okay, but also on pace for a shocking -47 which even for a VHLM rookie is bad. He's not contributing much in the way of defence either, blocking only one shot per game and throwing two hits per game. "It's a lot faster than I'm used to," said David to reporters after the Marlins had gotten shut out yet again. "I'm struggling to keep up with these guys, but the last few games have been a little easier to manage. Just trying to improve every game so that I can start contributing to the team in a more meaningful manner. As long as we're playing better each game, the coaching staff will be pleased." David still has over 50 games to show the VHL teams what he has to offer, and he'll have to start playing a little better if he hopes to be a top 10 pick in the S99 draft.
