I don't think I've ever had a player that was so fitting for a theme week, but Toby Kadachi is truly one of the tough guys in the league, and that was always one of the goals with him, after all one of my inspirations for making him was Stu Grimson, aka the Grim Reaper. I choose to make Kadachi the same height as him. I don't want this entire post to be just focused on my player as there have been some other tough guys he has played against. I do want to say that it has very humbling seeing all the posts that Kadachi has been, whether isn't a graphic or media spot I've greatly enjoyed seeing them, feel like it's the most one of my players has ever been mentioned. I don't think I myself would consider Toby Kadachi the toughest guy in the league but he's still in that heavy weight bracket, where he can absolutely punch it out with some of the best, any team he's on, he's the guy you have to go through if your trying to get at a teammate of his.

I don't it will come as any surprise when I say I think Tommy Sleeves is the toughest guy in the league, he's lead the league in both hits and penalty minutes multiple times. I have no doubt he'll pass 2000 penalty minutes and sure he'll hit 2500 hits as well. He's at two seasons above 300 penalty and two others within ten minutes of reaching the mark, he's reached over 400 hits twice in his career as well. It's a shame that for the 6'8" 250 pound blue liner that this is his last season, many players will be glad to not have to deal with this tough guy anymore but the league will miss him, and I think even my own player will miss the chance to drop the gloves with him.

Speaking of Toby Kadachi, less talk about him some more. While he won't be breaking any records he will be high up on some of those lists, at the current time of writing this Kadachi would be 18th overall in career hits, the list I'm looking at only has retired players on it, so besides Tommy Sleeve I'm not sure if there are some other active players that are ahead of Kadachi in terms of career hits. Toby at this moment would be right ahead of Xin Xie Xiao, a player from the S30's and 40's. Last season Kadachi put up a monster amount of hits with 443, thanks to being pointed in the right way, a list was shared that has the most hits in a season and Kadachi would place second on it, just two hits ahead of Simon Valmount's S49 performance with 441. The only player with more hits in a season is the legendary Gabriel McAllister, who in S61 had 461 hits!! (funny enough despite this record setting number, only ended up with 2079 career hits, still a lot but less than one might expect). Kadachi is the first player in 36 seasons to get anywhere close to that all time record. to close this out, his current career numbers are 1329 penalty minutes and 2370 hits, I've said before I expect him to finish with over 1500 PIM and 2500 hits, Toby has been a little penalty happy this season but I believe should still reach that mark, hits wise I think he could probably make it to 2700+ if he can keep it up into his last season. Truly a tough guy for the ages.
