Breeze reveals his Draft Hopes!

A Draft, a magic wand and the Breeze that carries it:

 

A silent hush fell over the room as an obese pot bellied man, (dressed in a cheap suit), waddled up to the podium: "Good afternoon, just let me catch my breath here..." [Heavy Breathing Sounds]... "Okay, my name is Will Sueforfood and I am the legal representative for Mr. Chase Breeze. Now then, I'd just like to state for the record, that Mr. Breeze did not leave a window open nor did he cause a draft at any time. Therefore any and all insinuations to the contrary are completely unfounded, and as such will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!"

"Now then, one last thing, you there in the front row, are you going to eat that doughnut?"

Chase Breeze walks to the podium: "Thank you Will. For those who may not know my story, I've played for a number of teams in three different leagues. Now over the course of that time, I've never had the opportunity to play out West. As fate would have it, I've always been drafted to the East coast or beyond. Which is all well and good, save for the fact that I'm a true Pacific Northwester at heart. In other words, after thoughtful consideration, if I had a magic wand I'd use it to manifest my personal goal of finally coming home to represent."

"In real life, my alter ego was born and bred in Vancouver Canada, so nothing would make me happier than the opportunity to play for my home town team. Now if this is simply not possible, the next best thing would be to play for Calgary and/or Seattle (not necessarily in that order), as they are the next two closest locations to home sweet home."

"Now I realize I don't actually have a magic wand and I have no real say in what happens during the VHL draft. Obviously I don't expect to be handed exactly what I desire, and I certainly don't mean to offend anyone by putting a top three list out into the universe. No doubt there are many other fine organizations that I would be happy to play for. It's just I don't know what I don't know, so at this present moment in time, I have no way of telling which team would be the best fit."

 

"That being said, it's hard to go wrong when you follow your heart, so everything else being equal, I would gladly choose to play in any of these three North Western destinations!"

"Now what about Miami you may ask? Well, when it comes to the VHLM draft, I know and love Miami to death, so the fact it happens to be East is not an issue. The fact is, Miami feels like home and to me that's what matters most!"
