Offseason ramblings

I already wrote an article last week on the VHLM Draft, but nothing else has really happened with my player other than getting eliminated in the JST so here are some assorted thoughts on the offseason and the VHLM draft coming up.

It's been pretty cool to see all the offseason moves through trades and free agency. It's been nice to try and get an idea of how good all the teams are and evaluating the moves from that perspective after being away for a bit. Pretty fun that there was an actually interesting free agency with Del Rocco and Ironhide going to Malmo. Plus there's been a bunch of trades which has added some excitement from a neutral perspective.

I've been contacted by a decent number of teams ahead of the VHLM draft. I have pretty much no idea where I'm going to go, which is part of why I'm looking forward to this draft. I think it's partially interesting because the drafting strategy in the M doesn't seem to be as clear-cut as it is in the VHL (since you also have to consider how long you'll have a player before they get promoted), and also this S100 class is huge which will make for a deeper draft. Hopefully that continues up to the VHL draft next year.
