STOCKHOLM - After a long, long, long season, the Stockholm Vikings finished their inaugural campaign with a 10-53-9 record, good for 29 points and last place in the Victory Hockey League. Although few expected the Vikings to be a force this season, one can never truly be prepared for a season as difficult as one Stockholm endured, especially after having been on a team that won 60 games the previous season.

"You can't ever be ready for something like this," said Kowalski following Stockholm's 5-4 shootout loss to the Quebec City Meute to end their season. "We all knew we were in for a tough season, one that would require a lot of growth and development, but you can't possibly be prepared to lose so many games. But on the bright side, we made it through, we've grown as a team and we're in great position to add great new teammates. The worst part is done with, finally."

Kowalski finished with two assists, a +1 rating, five hits, blocked four shots and served eight minutes in the penalty box.
