MOSCOW, RUSSIA - It's tough to know that your season is over. No GM wants to admit defeat so early in a young season, but Moscow has lost that spark, that fire they had just a season ago. Looking at the top defensive scorers, 3 former Wolves make the list.

# Player Name                 GP   PTS
3 Golden Jedtsson (BRP) 20 7-30-37
4 Michael Clardy (BRT)     20 4-22-26
10 Erik Hedman (SSK)      20 3-10-13

2 of those 3 players would be Moscow's top point earner, overall. Inactive Free Agent Yannik Zug has been most of the offense, and Santi Piñeiro has been a top 3 scorer purely from availability of playing time. It's not good.

People rag on GM Christopher Raymond, but he has been in some tough spots over the past seasons. Bad trades have been part of the problem, but the inactivity of Michael Clardy during the course of the previous season turned the Russian capital into a ghost town. Players were traded to be with better teams. And now, Raymond and Clardy wait. They have 1 1st round selection this year, and then they finally get back on track with a good solid set of draft picks.

Something needs to happen. It probably won't be this season, but Moscow will return to glory. It's only a waiting game now.
