Tylar 219
The Faux Report Bronson Faux In the VHL Bronson Faux is having a decent season on a struggling Riga team with 16 points in 26 games which is good for fourth in overall VHL rookie scoring. The Riga Reign sit out of a playoff spot by 21 points and are second last in the European Conference. Bronson Faux has shown some flashes of brilliance but is struggling to find consistency. He has the third worst rating on the team which is minus 16 and is second on the team in penalty minutes. His stats are taking a bit of a hit on a struggling team but his potential is sky high and he is getting better with every game. Bronson Faux playing for Riga Faux has made big strides to become one of the best power forwards in the league with his 108 hits which has him in the top ten of overall hit leaders in the VHL. Faux has shown he can be a physical force on the ice and take over games. His package of skill and size makes him a scary player on the ice along with his physical presence. Faux also has a high shooting percentage at 19.57 percent which is the best in the league. He is having a typical rookie season for a young power forward struggling to find consistency while also trying to balance physical play and being over aggressive leading to unnecessary penalties. Marcel Faux In the VHLM Marcel Faux and the Saskatoon Wild were beginning to come together by winning five of their last 6 games but have since had a rough patch losing two straight. They have bounced back to winning again recently. The Wild were one of the worst teams in the entire league at the start of the year and now they have become a middle of the pack team. The addition of goaltender Lenny Face has allowed the team to win more games. After struggling at the beginning Faux has been producing on the top line with Backenbauer and Carlson after the departure of Dupont. Faux has recorded 15 goals and 12 assists for 27 points in 34 games. The Wild now sit third in the North American Conference which has them in a play-off spot over the Yukon Rush who are just behind them by two points. Marcel Faux playing for Saskatoon Overall the Wild have had an up and down season with troubles offensively and defensively. Faux has been very inconsistent and has been struggling but he has been improving defensively with his minus two rating. Marcel has made great strides improving his overall game and is looking like a top five VHL prospect at the moment. Faux is the ranked fourth by the VHLSC and the second ranked left winger behind the consensus number one prospect Edwin Reencarnacion. This year’s draft has two top prospects which include Edwin as well as defenseman Kekko Hyvarienen. This year’s draft looks very unpredictable after the first two prospects so it could end up being about team needs which could allow Faux to possibly fall in the rankings. Faux is trying to focus on his own performance and team performance instead of his draft stock.
