Manhattan, NY --  New York Americans fans are excited for the approaching season as they have a chance to reach the post-season after a rebuilding season. Manhattan's buzzing as the team has announced both of their prospects, Jedtsson and Ruutu are going to play for the team next season. However, the team has the opportunity to select the best prospect in the upcoming draft, Edwin Reencarnacion with their first overall pick. The team adds the general manager's client, Benjamin Dupont without using a draft pick. That's because there's a rule that restricts a general manager's client playing on a different team. It doesn't stop there as the team holds another late first round pick, so they could add an under the radar prospect or trade down adding more on defense. The team's excited to begin the next phase of their franchise next season, but they'll still need some veteran presence in the top six and a top two defenseman, so the free agency will be a good chance for the team to load up to allow them to get over the hump.
