It wasn't an easy sell for Quebec either. He had to use compulsion on GM Brovy to get him to actually agree to trade away Waldron and acquire him in the trade. The last pit stop on his journey to be traded was in Cologne. There he would meet Mr. Power and would compel him to actually want to take Waldron in the deal. After making sure all three were under his control and in agreement to trade, he made sure they made haste of the deal. He knew staying in Seattle wouldn't have been exactly the most ideal place so he found a contender. He tricked Higgins into taking lesser value for himself and Strauß so they could go and try to compete again for the next so many seasons. Quebec City was shocked that they had gotten the goaltender that had stopped their dreams from winning a cup last season. The league was shocked as well.
