Molholt 2,185
Saskatoon opened up the season with their first preseason game, taking on the Yukon Rush. This game looked more like a scheduled UFC event than it did a hockey game, with fights breaking out almost non-stop. Here is a full recap of the fights that took place between these two: Marcel Faux beats up Aleksi Koponen at 0:56 of 1st period Jacob Winters and β-SSK LW1 fight to a draw at 1:47 of 1st period Phil Hamilton and R Truth fight to a draw at 3:17 of 1st period Maxime Wright and Ryan Carlson fight to a draw at 4:09 of 1st period Marquis Hyvarinen and Erik Hedman fight to a draw at 4:12 of 1st period Aleksi Koponen beats up Casper Salomon at 2:56 of 2nd period Stabby McFullO'Schmidt beats up Bubba Nuck at 3:34 of 2nd period β-YUK LW1 and R Truth fight to a draw at 4:06 of 2nd period Josh Merica and Biggu Kyanon fight to a draw at 0:11 of 3rd period Marcel Faux beats up Archie Wagner at 8:24 of 3rd period β-YUK D1 and Erik Hedman fight to a draw at 14:46 of 3rd period The Saskatoon Wild, on their own, served 87 minutes of penalty time during this one, more than an entire game's worth, including an overtime period. Yukon served 75 of their own. However, with all of these players spending time in the box for the Saskatoon Wild, you would think, barring his involvement, that Max Mølholt would be able to see significant ice time in the other players' absence. Once R Truth and Marcel Faux get into their second fight of the game, why not give the new guy a shot? The Wild spent a 2nd round pick on Mølholt after all. Max Mølholt played a total of 32 seconds in the game. Just over half of one minute, during the entire game. As of this point, I'm not sure what Max did to piss of the Wild, but we initially thought he might be a key piece for them this season. It seems that that sentiment might have been way off base, as they all but refuse to put him on the ice. What will this mean for his future in the VHL? We will have to wait and find out! Lastly, don't mess with Marcel Faux. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/21553-m%C3%B8lholt-riding-the-bench/ Share on other sites
