A short two seasons ago if you had asked Jackson Miller where he would be playing, he surely would have said that it would still be Helsinki. Drafted by the Titans in Season 39, Miller expected to stay with the team the entire length of his career. The VHL throws curveballs sometimes though.

After being dealt to Toronto for one season Miller now finds himself in Calgary, looking to once again make a fresh start.

“It’s definitely an adjustment, not an unwelcome one though. It was strange living in Europe for so many years so Toronto was a nice change but getting to Calgary is especially nice since I’m closer to my family in Vancouver. The team definitely has nice chemistry in the locker room and were very welcoming. At this point I’m just hoping that the season gets started soon and we can transfer that locker room chemistry to the ice."

If pre-season was any indication, Miller should be able to help Calgary do exactly that. In 2 pre-season games for the team Miller had 5 goals, 4 of which came from an impressive showing against the Vikings who are a top favourite to take home the Continental Cup this season.
