Coming down the stretch to the half way point of the season Oslo looks to make some space for themselves at the top of the standings. Oslo headed to Ottawa after taking a tough loss to the Team one slot ahead the Yukon Rush, in an intense rivalry game the Rush were able to out play the Storm and beat them by a score of 2-1, it sure was a nail bitter.  

 

 

Looking to turn things around after the hard loss the Storm readied themselves for a tough match up against the Ottawa Lynx who currently sit in second last overall, although the team felt positive going into this match up they did not want to syc themselves out even with a perfect record against the team, they knew anything could happen. 

 

 

They went into the game guns a blazing and took the W with a score of 4-1 that would only be the beginning of the 7 game winning streak that would set them up for a good finishing position heading into the second half of the season. 

 

 

Boucher still struggling to find his place amongst that stats sheets struggled thought the 7 game streak recording 0 points and boasting a plus minus of +2. Disappointed with himself Boucher looks to improve his stats in the second half of the season. The huge center man was a promising pick for Oslo but has yet to find his place. 1G 3A 4Pts. this season so far has been underwhelming for the young star.

 

 

Oslo still pushing forward despite the young center man’s struggles as they take the next 6 games in a row beating the royals twice, and the high flying blades team 3 times in a row, as well as adding a win against the close watchmen team. The watchmen did not take well to this loss and the boastful Storm team as they came back and took 2 straight games against the storm outsourcing them 1-0 and 3-2. That would be the end of their 7 game run to the second half of the season but it would not stop their success with two more win to cap off the week against the royals and blades the storm put themselves in third overall with 62 points just 7 points behind the second place rush team with 69 points.

 

 

With 31 game left in the regular season the storm look to close the gap between themselves and the rush hoping to grab a first round bye or home ice advantage in the playoffs. Oslo has done very well this season and are considered strong cup contenders. Let’s hope they can close out the season with many wins and take over second or even first place overall, the young rookies just have to remember to keep their chins up and keep pushing, training and bettering themselves for the upcoming playoffs because anything can happen.
