The Calgary Wranglers have sent off prospect Chuck Goody to the New York Americans in exchange for future draft picks. Goody, formerly a member of the Oslo Storm of the VHLM, is right on the fringe of being a VHL caliber player and would like to test himself against the league's best. Calgary was not in a position to offer him a spot on their VHL roster, so they sent him to rebuilding New York to get significant ice-time at the pro level. In exchange, Calgary will receive New York's 2nd and 3rd round picks in the S46 VHL Entry Draft. New York picks up a decent prospect in this deal without forfeiting any picks in the highly-touted S45 VHL Entry Draft and Calgary adds some picks that can be used as trade kickers or to fill out their roster down the road.
