Since he missed the Season 45 VHLM Dispersal Draft, newly-eligible right wing Pete Stockton was placed in the VHLM waiver system to be claimed by whatever team was smart enough to make a run at the talented winger.

Several teams put in a claim for Stockton, but the Moscow Red Wolves were lucky enough to be awarded the talented young gun for the upcoming season. While he'll be with Moscow for the entirety of this coming season, it's possible that he could be entered into the dispersal draft for next season and wind up on another team while he gains the necessary experience to excel for whichever VHL team drafts him (likely either Toronto, Seattle, or New York).

For the time being, however, Stockton should help and already-stacked Red Wolves squad make a run at the Founder's Cup, and he could win some individual hardware if he keeps his production at a high level. He will almost assuredly see top-six minutes this season, with his exact placement in the rotation depending on how the roster settles out.

No matter what happens on the ice, Stockton is determined to ensure that he earns his spot as a top pick in the upcoming VHL Entry Draft and positions himself for success at the next level. A little success before that, however, would also be very welcome.
