Bears hope to strike gold with c*&k

VHL.com exclusive article

SEATTLE, WASH. -- The Seattle Bears were one of major talking points at the S45 VHL Entry Draft, but general manager Mike Szatkowski is hoping one of the team's unheralded picks turns out to be one of his brightest.

The Jamaican born Super Cock was obviously not well liked by his parents when they chose his name, but the Bears couldn't be happier to have selected the 6-foot-3 winger with the 19th pick in the draft.

While he remains very raw at this point, Szatkowski is hopeful that the young left winger can materialize into a quality second-line player in a couple of seasons; which would be a considerable bonus given where he was selected in the draft.

"The kid definitely has a nose for the net and he has a real quality shot," Szatkowski said. "He's going to need at least another year in the VHLM, but if he develops the way we'd like him to I think we could see him suiting up here in Seattle at some point in S46. That's our goal right now, for sure."
