Toronto Taking Shots

Literally. In Toronto's 4th game of the season against the Seattle Bears, the Legion threw a 72 shot barrage at the Bears goalie - SEA G. This is the 4th highest total ever for the Legion and the highest since their team record 82 back in Season 37. The Legion went on to win that game 5-4, improving to 2-2 on the season. Toronto is looking to be offensive this season. Featuring no key defensive players (read, no human defenders) and perhaps the league's worst starting goalie (David Blind), the Legion will be counting on Max Mølholt, their only addition from the S45 VHL Entry Draft who is currently with the team, to put up plenty of shots and hopefully goals this season. Max will have his chance to shine as he will basically be the only active player on the team, surrounded by Joseph Roy III and Alistar Graves on his line.

There is no doubting that Toronto is not a great team this year, but with nothing to lose the Legion will be giving it their all every night. Toronto's GM had this to say about this year's team:

Everyone knows that we aren't contending right now and that we are in the middle of a long rebuild. However, I can't just lay back and take loss after loss without throwing some punches. We'll be tinkering with our strategies all season to see what we can find that works and trying to win as many games as possible. It is going to be a rough season, but we'll definitely be giving it our all. I don't know any other way of GMing.
