Off-Season Training

LeAndre St. Pierre has taken part in some rigorous off-season training after his move from Moscow to Ottawa. He has teamed up with some world class fitness professionals in order to get his body in top shape for season 46. He has worked closely with the Ottawa Senators from the NHL on developing his stamina and making sure he is able to play at 100% for three periods. One issue LeAndre had in season 45 was his inability to log more than 15 minutes of ice time per game due to his stamina. Because LeAndre will be taking a larger role on his team this season, he will need to be able to sustain that high level of performance throughout more of the game. Ottawa is planning on giving LeAndre somewhere between 22-26 minutes per game, forcing him to undergo this training. "It's hard, but it's something I need to do to make sure we have a chance at the cup this season" said St. Pierre.
