Well we are home to Chad in the 2nd of 6 games in qualifying. If we dont get a result at home to Chad. I might as well pack my bags and look to start a new life in football. Maybe a nice easy league like the 6th tier of england...

 KWc4BmY.png

As if we didn't have enough injury problems. Now our starting centerback is out with the flu. I hope the rest of the team didn't eat with him at breakfast time.

gTT9ywQ.png

Well, now that's a bounce back game. Djamel made up for his penalty miss in the last game by scoring a brace. The 3rd string goalie made saves when he was called upon. Now we move up to 2nd in the group above Liberia who lost to Togo.

oops, I see the 2nd screenshot is the same but I already deleted the screenshot, and am like 1 week ahead, so im lazy to go back, but as you can see in the 3rd screenshot "injury worry for Algeria" that was the screenshot.

For the 4th time in a row, we stay at 24, which i say is a good thing now as we lost a game. Germany is still number 1. Interestingly enough the biggest riser was Togo who went from 85 to 63 or something after winning 2 games in a row, which was also a win over the 24th ranked Algerian squad

I made the journey to watch Islam Simani after being impressed with him in the Chad game. He didn't start the Togo game because he hasn't played any football all yea up to that point. With Soudani not doing good at all and having a rating of 5.9 I thought I'd give Slimani a shot and he scored a goal. So i went to scout him some more. This trip took me to watch his Sporting Club de Portugal took travelled to Zenit St.Petersburg in Russia. He scored 2 goals and gets man of the match. He is certainly making a case for himself to start our next game against Liberia.

He is the 2nd manager down this year i think, i cant remember. lol Mourinho is 16th in the league right now and is on the hotseat as well.

Nqp8vrv.png

Not really a firing, but he couldnt handle the pressures of losing as a caretaker manager lol. 3 managers down this year and we arent even done september

c7mDpl8.png

Well what a game this turned out to be. 6-3 was the final score as I made the trip to Croatia to watch Soudani and Bentelib, Soudani scored a goal while Nabil only saw 15 minutes of game time as a sub. It was great though.

3feV0lr.png

We also have a new manager at the Stadium of Light. Martin Jol takes over and hopes to steer the team clear of relegation as you can see they are in 20th place and have only scored 4 goals.

Here is the team I named for the games again Liberia and Togo. I picked a team that has mostly been playing this year.

rRAYw4k.png

A couple players were not happy to be not named to the game, but Lacen only appeared in 1 game and that was as a sub, and Mesbah has played in 2 games while the other have 8+. I told them both to get more 1st team football.

TOJUPjs.png

And now the the injuries start. Yacine Brahimi is out for 7 weeks. To start the lashing out at me, I called up Lacen to replace him

Just curious, what do you do inbetween matches and tournaments? Just check the progress of all the Algerian players? Also, what tactics are you running?

i have the England tiers loaded so if there are Algerian players playing there I watch a game. same goes for Champions League or Europa League. and i run a 4-2-3-1 with 2 midfielders. We have so much attacking midfielders i need to run a 3 attacking set lol. I was gonna play something that best fit the team and this happened to be it. I was also thinking 4-1(DM)-1(midfield)3-1 because we have some DM that could be useful but that just looks weird.

Harry Redknapp takes over at Newcastle United. The team as you can see is in 16th place just above the relegation zone.

kq9k6Xk.png

For the 2nd time in qualifying we won't have our number 1 goalie. He pulled his hamstring this time and might be in question for the next time we play qualifying games

XVMjGxa.png

We are big favourites again. We should see this out with a big win just like last game.

PnqqZ9Z.png

Well it wasn't the biggest win we wanted but a win is a win. Our goal scorer Abdoun got hurt in the 92nd minute. Now we play Togo at home. This game will determine the group.

UjbOOxe.png

Well here it is the big game. I would like a win but a draw wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. If we draw we would want one of the other teams to give Togo an upset. But we wont need to hope for that, we will win.

0ZMSxv8.png

Before our game with Togo we dropped to 25th in world rankings. We are now the 2nd Africa ranked Africa team behind the Ivory Coast. Hopefully it all changes after the next game.

mendfxm.png

I just dont understand. First thing I see is that we hit the post in the first 2 minutes. Then we score a goal in the 30th minute but it was offside. Then they come down and score. We get what I think is the tying goal in the 65th minute but that is offside too apparently. I dont know man, this is stupid. Togo top the group with 12 points and the best we can hope for is 2nd.

Adabayor was the difference maker ;( 2nd place is not that bad though!

DUM6CrO.png

Well that didn't last long lol. Roman sacks Jose for the 2nd time in his managerial career. Where he goes nobody knows.

zrTrmgH.png

So this is the 2nd biggest sacking in the Prem this yea. Be interesting to see who takes over at Man City.

2q4nZ74.png

Well i had to call up Zahir Zerdab to replace Ghilas. A lot of those players were hurt so, I thought why not call up the 32 year old for a couple games. Probably be the last time he gets the call.

MrKkhBy.png

Silmani also got hurt so I need to call up a striker. I tried to call up Rafik Djebbour but he denied it. He currently is playing for BATE Borisov in Belarus I think thats where it is anyway. But unless he is in magical form and there are a mass of injuries, I doubt I will call on him again because of this. Idriss Saadi has been called up instead. He plays for Clermont Foot in France.

uBSaIo3.png

Wow guess who shows up in Chelsea. Jurgen Klopp packs up from Borussia Dortmund and goes to London, England. Be interesting to see what he does.

nn32oZC.png

And we keep dropping. 26th now in the world. If we can get 2 wins, we should rise again. Germany, Argentina and Holland are the top 3 countries.

uRyOE5Y.png

Yea we heard this before. But last time out we won 5-0.

J0DuWcx.png

More injuries, yay. Medhi mostefa was called up to replace him.

tC0HcD2.png

There is nothing I want more than for this nightmare campaign to end. Never had my starting goalie the whol time and the replacements were not up to par. Also there were a lot of injuries which caused me to name a team that hasn't spent a lot of time together. Hard to get some chemistry going when I have to field a different team everytime.

2jAJzRi.png

Look I have to name a replacement to the replacement.  Sid Ahli Yahia Chrif has been named to replace him. my 5th string striker

evLqCW5.png

Mancini is the man to take over Man City. He hopes to save them from 15th place.

psTxbhY.png

We never heard we were massive favourites before.

ijCacMW.png

Well all went according to plan except Lacen getting 2 yellows in 3 minutes. like wtf.

We are still 26th ranked team in the world. So I mean could be worse, We re also still the 2nd ranked African team in the world.

fmltMY6.png

I also watched a very wild game between Queens Park Rangers and Burnley. Rangers went down to 10 men in the 1st half but managed to to get a draw. Burnley scored to make it 3-2 at 89 minutes but Q.P.R managed to steal a point with a 90+2 minute equalizer. Very entertaining.

renlYF8.png

The English managing picture has picked up as well as Tottenham Hotspur sack Pochettino.

QSphEqn.png

Another manager down. Jeez, I lost count but im pretty sure we are closing in on atleast half of the 20.

s7yxnQn.png

Tottenham have hired Olympique Marseille manager Marcelo Bielsa as the new manager. OM will be paid 1.7 million in compensation.

Glenn Hoddle is the man selected to replace Steve Bruce at Hull City. Hoddle is a former England manager and will hope to steer the 19th placed Tigers out of relegation.

QosjIy7.png

Here is the Algeria best XI that was named.

fG7wyCK.png

I mean who else would you expect to win the award?

ZOmTqfA.png

Here is the best XI of the whole world that was named. surprised Mata is there and how about that Germany back 5 there? 5 German Bundesliga players named in the backend.

9ymWulX.png

Samuel Eto'o was named the African footballer of the year. This is great for the 33 year old who is showing he is still one of the best Africa has to offer.

Mr7AvhI.png

The best XI of African players has been named as well. Ghoulam is the lone Algerian.

6p33Nxj.png

R4PuWaW.png

Very surprising to see Bayern Munich sell Thiago on to Arsenal no less.

vU2ii13.png

Another one bites the dust. Koeman couldn't survive the winter as Southampton sack Koeman.

Again we stay at 26th, Germany, Holland and Argentina are the top 3

HoObf8N.png

Claudio Ranieri is coming back to England since he left Chelsea in 2004. Should be interesting to see what he does with Southampton

Arsene Wenger has been splashing around some cash, bought Tiago from Bayern then he buys Rodriguez from Wolfsburg, must want to go out as a champion this year. Also El Shaarawy to Chelsea is a great buy in my opinion. I always liked El Shaarawy.

BdMQGgf.png

Here are the group stages of the African Cup of Nations. Stupid Togo didn't even get a point. I'm still pissed that we didn't get in this. Group D was the Group of death, Burkina Faso, Nigeria and South Africa, actually hell even Mali isn't to bad.

eXB6n7V.png

The quarters went down like this. Burkina Faso squeaks by the Ivory Coast on penalties effectively ending the golden generation of Ivory Coast. Cameroon get blown out my Senegal is surprising as is Nigeria blowing away Egypt.

WQzhlIK.png

The semi's had Ghana squeaking by Burkina Faso by a 2-1 scoreline and Nigeria just can't stop scoring as they put up another 4 against Senegal. Nigeria have a chance to defend their title

  • 3 weeks later...

JH9rRvh.png

Well we keep falling in the world rankings. We are now 28th in the world.

HiqrVap.png

Nigeria successfully defended their 2013 title and moved above us in the world rankings as you saw.

HZC4f42.png

Well after being hired early in the season Martin Jol has been fired from Sunderland
