Rose Quitting on Moscow?

Rumours are swirling around the Moscow Red Wolves fan forums that centre Jory Rose already seems to be thinking about next season, when he'll be moving up to the VHL to play with the Seattle Bears. The Danish forward, who finished the regular season 3rd in league scoring, behind only former teammate LeAndre St. Pierre and current teammate Tom Lincoln, has not scored a point in Moscow's last 2 games - both losses in the Founder's Cup Finals against the Ottawa Lynx, who are now up 3-0 in the series. Rose's 11 points in 8 games still put him tied for 7th in league scoring in the playoffs, but aside from a 3 point game in Game 1 of the finals, he's been a non-factor, leading many to believe that Rose is already thinking about bigger things.

Another cog in the machine is an interview that Rose gave to a Seattle newspaper very recently, where he stated: "Well, I had the Founder's Cup last year, so I try to remember that. I'm also looking forward to moving up to Seattle very soon. My time in Moscow was great, but it's time to get to the big leagues and close this chapter of my career." When approached for comment, Rose stated that he had indeed said what he said, but he never meant to say that he has quit on his team. He is very much committed to the Moscow Red Wolves cause, and will be until the final whistle of the playoffs blows. Still, nobody can deny that his recent performance has been uninspiring, if not concerning, if you're a Moscow Red Wolves fan, and they'll need one of their top forwards to get back on the scoresheet if they want any chance of making a comeback in this series.
