Da Trifecta 1,902 Posted March 5, 2016 Share Posted March 5, 2016 Scouting Report: Kai Roberts Name: Kai Robers Position: Center Height: 6'2 Weight: 185 Pounds Hometown: New Orleans, Louisiana Shoots: Right Pros: Scoring: It seems like Kai has a knack for finding the net. He has been able to score many goals in his career and he is certain it should carry over. He will be looking to make his numbers very high in the minors system. He has been practicing day in and day out since the draft is coming up. He has many different shots in his book and he will be putting on a field day. Of course he needs to be drafted first and that is coming very soon . Skating: Kai has been able to glide across the ice very gracefully. He is able to get around on the ice with such swiftness he was literally one of the fastest skater in high school. He even raced around quite a few times backwards while the rest of the team skated facing forward. It seemed like he was able to move around the ice like a professional ice skater. He did actually learn a little but of some ice skating while practicing with some pro teams. Face offs: He has been able to win many face offs over his career at center. He had the best numbers in the circle during his junior and senior years. He is hoping that he can continue his success in the circle when he reaches the VHL's minors system. He has also watched all the tape he possibly could on Davey Jones who was quite a good face off specialist in his days of glory. Cons: Attitude: It seems like Kai is a hot head. He had gotten into many heated problems with some players on Yukon when he was allowed to play with them briefly. He caused way too many issues, was kicked out of the locker room and even showed up late to some practices. It seemed like he had completely lost his love for the game when he was there. He turned out to be a complete asshole and it will be the downfall of him eventually. Competitiveness: He has been known to be very competitive but it seems as of recently he hasn't been now. He has been literally giving up all hope. He has been trying to get the love of the game back and he has being trying to find that fire that kept him going. It seems like it is going to pick up soon and once the 48th season of the VHL picks up, he will be ready to do some damage after being drafted. Leadership: Kai has never been one to step up and say something to help the team win. He has never been known as a leader. He is more of the silent type and has been his whole life. He isn't a shy person but he won't be the one taking on any leadership roles. He just wants to be a part of a great team and he wants to help any way he can. With the history of his agent he isn't sure he would get a leadership role on any team anyways.
