For the first time since Season 46, the Moscow Red Wolves actually participated in the yearly Victory Hockey League Minors Dispersal Draft. The team held a pick in the 2nd round which was 14th overall and a pick in the 4th round with was 25th overall. I'm not going to lie, I was actively shopping those picks as I didn't plan on competing this year as Season 49 shall be the season I try to compete as I will hold a 1st round pick for the 1st time since Season 46 when I was able to pick 3 times in the 1st round. With the picks this year, I took center Mario Lee who I consider to be a steal at 14th overall and if he at least claims 2 points a week plus maybe another 1 doing this or a player card, he will be a very useful player and will be a big part of the team in the future unless he would want to be traded to a winner this year which I would have no problem with. The other pick was Xavier Laine who was picked at 25th overall. I was actually trying to move up to from the beginning of the 4th to the 3rd to select this player but he fell to me at 25th and I could not be happier. I plan to bug him a lot to come claim at least 2 points a week. I also was able to bring back an old friend in Travis Wilcox who is a vhlm beast. I have one more ace up my sleeve I plan on bringing in another player. Stay tuned, Moscow won't be a push over this year as many expect.
