NotAVHLM-GM 1,858
(profile has been translated to English, to make sure it is readable) Pietro Maximoff Last night the VHL Draft happened and the Cologne Express who were selecting with the fifth overall pick made a decision to pick up a player who had not been at their draft board: Pietro Maximoff. This made us wonder, who is Pietro and what did Cologne see in him to use their first round selection on him. Let's take a look! Pietro Maximoff Birthplace: Bucharest, Romania Weight (lbs.): 175 lbs Height (inches): 6' Player Age: 21 Jersey Number: 25 Romanian players are not something you see very much off, at least not outside of their countries borders. Maximoff however was already one of their top players despite his young age. Playing for the record championship team Steaua Rangers Bucharest he delivered them two more championships in a row as their top goalscorer. With his incredible speed, he felt it was time to explore his boundaries and joined the VHLM and there the scouts took notice. Strengths Speed: Maximoff is probably the fastest guy alive on the planet, he tried to compete in track and field before but with the equipment used his times were to fast to track and he was banned from competing. On skates he isn't as fast as he can run, but he sure gets by. It will be a matter of time before he is fully confident on skates and surprises friend and foe. Scoring: His eye will always be on the price, he loves to shoot and he has proven it with a cup winning goal for the Bratislava Watchmen. While he loves to shoot, it needs to be trained to be more accurate. Willingness: Maximoff is a true winner and wants to compete, he feels like his team needs to be in the playoffs not only to gain maximum exposure for himself, but he wants to win the hardware and experience success. His thrive to win pushes him into wanting to do everything for the team to help them out where he can. Only if everyone is on the same page, you can win championships and Maximoff is well aware of that Weaknesses Vision: The goalscorer he loves to be is also a weakness in his play, in the past there have been more than one occassion that one of his teammates could have just tapped the puck in if Maximoff decided to pass instead of taking the shot. The opponents expect him to shoot and since he does, he falls right into their traps. If his on ice vision would be better and he would realize his teammates have the ability to shoot as well, he might become a point per game player in the big leagues, but for now that will be far off. Physical: You can't be the fastest man alive and being very bulky. So on the ice he can still be a pushover. With not much upper body strength he doesn't hit enough to knock some pucks loose. He depends on his smaller frame and hopes to avoid the physical game like this. This point could break him up in the future. Not enough practice hours: Maximoff seems like a guy who will not go out of his way to get at the best level he possibly can, when others spend ten hours a week in the gym, he usually settles for five and calls it a day. This means others will likely surpass him fast in his ability to get better. Overall We would say he is a solid pick at fifth overall, but with his work attitude we feel this might still be too high for Maximoff, but if Cologne indeed wanted a winger, it could just work out well for them. evrydayimbyfuglien 600
Review: Nice job. Looks like you got all the requirements here. There were a few typos but nothing unforgivable. Just things like "of" vs "off" out the wrong tense. Keep it up and good luck moving forward.
