Since his arrival in the VHLM, Titan Kronos has been campaigning to go first overall in the VHL Draft. Earlier this week, he got his wish as he was the number one overall selection in the S49 Draft. For many league execs, this was a surprise given that there were several proven player agencies with players very near to Kronos' in overall practice hours. Many people would have went the safer route and taken one of these players. Riga took a chance and Kronos feels that they made the right choice.

Quote

I don't care what other people say because I was the best talent in this draft. Just take a look at my VHLM stats and tell me that someone deserved to go before me in this draft. You would be lying if you did. I have a huge amount of respect for the guys that were drafted this year, but this is a competitive sport. I want to be better than them and I am going to be better than them. Hockey seems to be more of a team sport than the other ones that I've participated in but I will still be able to shine.

One of the players drafted after Kronos was Pietro Maximoff, from the highly touted Green player agency. Just a matter of days after the draft came to a close, Riga made a move for Maximoff by sending a future first. Kronos says he was asked about the deal prior to it being executed.

Quote

Management ran the deal by me, prior to agreeing to it. To a lot of people that may not be a big deal, but to me that is huge. They valued my opinion on the matter. I had no issue with us making the move for Maximoff. After playing against him in the VHL, I knew that he was going to end up being something great in this league. Adding him to this roster speeds this rebuild process up a little bit and gives us a world class prospect at goalie, defense, and wing. People questioned Maximoff's work ethic, but I can promise you no one will try to push him harder than I do. Practice is going to be intense.

Just as he promised prior to draft night, Titan Kronos walked on stage with a tiger next to him, despite the league threatening a fine if he did so.

That tiger was fucking monstrous. I can't believe they let me in the building with that thing. I know I have a hefty fine coming, but it's so worth it considering that I got the tiger in my picture with the commissioner. They told me not to bring it in, but they didn't stop me so I said fuck it. I still have the thing at home hanging out. He kind of just lounges all day and keeps intruders from breaking into my place. He's real friendly because he was raised by humans and shit. Still trying to think of a name for him.

Review:

You and Maximoff ought to be good together if they can keep you guys together when it's time to resign. Great article, best of luck next year. Go get that RotY award!
