Earlier this week Defenseman Jim Lahey was named Captain. Heres what Lahey had to say,

“I was overjoyed to hear that my first season playing with the big guys that I would be named captain. I love this team and everything about the organization. Management has been nothing but the best to me and I really hope I can meet there expectations as the captain of the Calgary Wranglers.”

 

Some people say that Lahey was names Captain because of the relationship between General manager and Laheys Player agent Cuffy.  Lahey responded to the rumors.

“Well it probably gave me a major advantage being a Cuffy player. But I do think I am deserving of the letter. I am one of the more vocal members in the locker room and I always have been, ever since playing for oslo I have always enjoyed being a great locker room presence. I am going to do my all to someday bring championship gold to Calgary once again something like Marcus Hurley has done a few seasons ago. We will fight the rebuild and soon enough become contenders.”
