I´m currently leading the league in penalty minutes. Cant say for sure, but I think this might be the first time I´m leading that category!  In 20 games I have managed to collect 45 penalty mins, that is rather respectable number when you take into consideration that I have only fought once.  I´m not actively trying to hurt other players, but for some reason I´m sitting in the penalty box more than ever before. If I keep similar pace up for rest of the year, it will be the most penalty minutes I have collected in one season.

Perhaps the referees are finally getting tired in seeing my face and giving penalties more easily than in previous years?  Or is it the European style of hockey that is giving me trouble? Some things you can get away with more easily when you are playing in the North-American conference,  for example roughing penalties are handed out more easily here. Little bit of pushing around and trash talking never hurts, but refs in Europe have pretty strict policy with stuff like that.

Either way, I will keep on going 100% in every game. I´m not going to change my playing style too much, just need to be slightly more careful on what you are doing or saying while playing against European teams.
