:cal:Wranglers in International Play:cal:

As the HC Davos Dynamo and Toronto Legion battle it out for supremacy in the VHL, the members of the Calgary Wranglers have long cleaned out their lockers and retreated home for the off-season. This season the World Cup of Hockey will be taking place in the VHL, extending the boring VHL off-season an extra week. Although the event stretches out a tedious part of the VHL season, it is a well anticipated event when it does occur every two off-seasons. This season with a young re-building club, not many Wranglers are expected to suit up for their home nations but we’ll quickly look at those who are expected to participate.

Jim Cuffy: Canada: Young inexperienced defender coming off his rookie season. Cuffy will have plenty of World Cups to come but hopes to get his feet wet with a medal this year.

Marquis Hyvarinen: Team Scandinavia: Veteran defender that has been in Calgary awhile. Unfortunately he hasn’t been seen at practice for a while, but still a reliable skater.

Travis Gowecny: Team USA: Another rookie that will be getting his feet we right off the bat with international hockey, will look to improve his numbers on a sub-par offensive season with Calgary in the short World Cup tournament.
