The VHLM Draft

The VHLM Draft was up and down, let me tell you about it.

 

First I'm going to start off with the bad stuff. The bad stuff is that Moscow still doesn't have a GM! Like come on guys, apply for that shit! It's super fun, and the stakes are so much less. You win the founders cup, and you still get great accolades and a kick ass resume. You screw up and ruin the team? Well, after two years everything is wiped clean, so voila! You're back in business and no one remembers you as that guy who wrecked *insert team name here The other bad stuff is that 3 GMs didn't show up! I mean come on guys, you get paid TPE for this. I know I got a possibly good player with my 4th round pick because of the inactive teams. If you take the job, you gotta do the work.

 

The good news though is that the draft went really well. First of all with the two player proposal, there were a lot of good people on the radar for us. Like I said earlier, I got a guy I have some hope in during the 4th round, while before that I didn't even always get a player I liked in the second round! This is also die to the Reddit thing bringing in a few people, and also a handful of guys making a reappearance! So hopefully this S52 VHL draft is a great one. Another great thing was that the draft went well! For the second straight year I won the lottery, and this time I kept the pick and took Fabio Jokinen, the Finnish phenom who played on Sasky last year. Then I lucked into a top goalie at 6th. And on top of that I got some good project players that fell under the radar in the later rounds. So you could say it was a good draft. Now to make Saskatoon the S51 Founders Cup Champions!
