Double the trouble

Mysterious defender from Finland joined VHLM during last week, Diego Jokinen is his name. Naturally few started to wonder if I´m related to Diego somehow since we got the same last name. I can answer that question, we might be or we might not be. Just because we are both defenders from Finland and look almost identical does not automatically mean we are related.

 

Diego is already bit taller than I am and lack of mustache indicates that he is not fully developed yet, so there is a good chance he will grow before getting drafted. Bigger body makes it easier to play in the VHLM early on, it´s a tough league for young guys who are often living on their own for the first time. Competition for playing spot is fierce, if you are not ready, someone will take your spot. That big frame of his will help down in the line as well, if he manages to improve his skating, he will be pain in the ass to play against.

 

Remains to be seen if we manage to play in the same team some day.
