BluObieZ 1,125
Well… it happened hell just froze over. Vernon Von Axelberry or better known by his stage name DJ Vern made his hockey debut. He played three games for the Watchmen and actually played very well for a guy who has not played. It’s not that he has not played this season, even though that is partly true. It’s the simple fact that he has NEVER EVER played a game of hockey. But yet the Watchmen felt comfortable enough to play him against two horrible teams. Which usually is nothing to even look at and be like damn good game. But for a man who has never even watched a game of hockey that is huge. While most goalies would have gotten shutouts in those two first games, Axelberry only let in one game in each game. Which is huge if you think about it. How can a person who has never played the sport even know the fundamentals of how to stop a shot? Enough to make actual good saves, and keep his game in the game then go onto win. This has never ever happened in professional sports. But now Axelberry takes aim to rewrite the history books. He looks to become the first ever player to go from never ever playing a sport to go right into professional competitive league. If you are one of the many people that are quick to point out that he even had to have players help him put on his equipment and during his first games warmups he hand to be taught how to make simple saves then I do not blame you. But the thing is that even though he never went to a practice yet because of his DJ’ing schedule usually gets in the way or he is too hungover or high on molly to even remember that he has practice. He did great in his first ever game. In his first game they played Bern Royals. He made eight saves in the first period, six in the second but when it started to look like he may actually get a shutout in his first ever game some kid named Mike Ross scored on the PP less than three minutes into the third. This was the only goal that got past Vern the whole game. In his second game was a little more disappointing because he let in a goal on just eight shots that he faced. He faced only two shots in the first and third periods but in the second period he faced a game high four shots. When the goal went in he was heard yelling at his team mates saying that they need to help him because he is too high on molly which is effecting his limited ability to make any saves. Then came his third game where he faced a staggering twenty nine shots and only let in two goals. Against the Wild who are a pretty good team. He saved the Watchmen from losing a game that they could have easily lost. He only got the start because Astrid Moon has a scorpion in his glove and was too scared to take it out. Theory is that Axelberry placed it in there just to fuck with him and it worked. He could have fucked the team with this but did not and got the win. No one really knows what kind of player Axelberry will be but if you look at all three games in a whole. He may have had some brain fart moments but all in all he managed to impress. We are looking forward to seeing what he has instore for his next starts.
