He was eventually taken away from his family do to abuse in his house. His first sport he ever played was soccer but ever since he got adopted by SHL player Sparks Lightning, his passion for hockey started. While his adopted brother Vincent Garland plays in the SHL, Lawrence wants to play in the VHL.
