Pandar 302
Marc-Alexandre Leblanc was not particularly thrilled with his inaugural season in the VHLM. “The team was good, but I know I could’ve played better and I’m not happy with that.” In spite of his lackluster performance (at least by his own standards), Leblanc seemed to have caught the eye of some of the GMs in the VHL. “A couple of different teams reached out to me before the draft, and that was really nice to see. I had no idea that I’d be a first rounder. I took a chance signing on with a newer player agency, so there was some question as to what the effect of that would be. It seems to me like it was for the best, because I don’t think I would’ve used a first round pick on me with the season I had in the VHLM.” Leblanc was drafted 9th overall by the Riga Reign. Leblanc got a bigger surprise when he was placed in the VHLM Dispersal Draft, in which he went 1st overall. “I was a little stunned, honestly. I somewhat expected to go early, since I’ve already got experience. But 1st overall was mind blowing. I’m gonna train hard, and make sure the GM doesn’t ever have any cause to regret that decision!” Leblanc will spend his upcoming, and most likely final, VHLM season with the Brampton Blades.
