NotAVHLM-GM 1,858 Posted January 30, 2017 Share Posted January 30, 2017 Maximoff cleans up at award ceremony Only days after being traded from the Riga Reign to the Seattle Bears, Pietro Maximoff showed up for Riga for one last time during the Season 52 awards ceremony. After a successful season where he surprised both foe and friend with a performance that went into the record books he was allowed to enter the stage for a total of three times. He picked up the Mike Szatkowski trophy for Most Points, the Kevin Brooks trophy for Most Goals and the Dustin Funk Trophy, for the player who improved himself the most compared to the season prior to this. For the Funk trophy it was a close call between Maximoff and Diana Maxwell of the New York Americans with a single vote being the difference maker. Coming from a non-stacked team that relied on him, people expect Maximoff to be a one-day-fly success story and go back to anonymity again with the Seattle Bears this season.
