Banackock 8,049 Posted February 17, 2017 Share Posted February 17, 2017 While Aleksei Federov is the 3rd highest TPE earner thus far in the S53 Entry Draft race, we feel as though his numbers aren't reflecting his true talent. While his points are too bad at 5 goals, 14 assist and 19 points through 27, everything else except for really his hits are average to below. His hits simply because he's not overly know right now in his career for leveling players to the ice, but he is known for his defensive play and his +/- is low, as well as his blocked shots. I guess aside from that, he's one of the leaders for power play points which is somewhat of a bonus but Federov was really looking to carve himself into the VHLM as one of the best defensive, shut down guys who can also put up some points. I think a lot would argue that he isn't in the Top 3 potentially. IMO, Sokolov, Fiend, and possibly Ofer are the top 3 dmen this season. Sokolov is throwing up the points while getting by with defensive stats.
