As the season winds down Hudson Abbott is playing some of his best hockey and really separating himself from some of the other draftees. Sitting third in the league in assists at 70 currently. The first generation player is second in defensive scoring at the moment with 98 points and he is closing in on the top spot as that seems to be his goal. Abbott wasn't even in the top ten defensive players in the league at the 20 game mark so his pace since then has been among the best in the league. Having the third best plus/minus in the league should draw some attention from the scouts but on the flip side he might be drawing a little negative looks for his 74 penalty minutes which puts him 9th in the league. Overall it has been a great first season for the young prospect and he is looking to top it off with a championship before heading to the VHL as he will be over 200 TPE by next season and wants to make an immediate impact for whatever team drafts him. It has been a slice so far this season and it will be fun to see where this prospect is drafted. Time to take home a VHLM championship to Ottawa.
