Tagger 2,722
- Nearly halfway through the season and the Meute are ahead of the New York Americans by one point, giving justification to my yearly award prediction that had Quebec City Meute winning the North American Championship. It's going exactly as I thought it would as well, their lack of depth has meant New York are struggling against the better teams, as evidenced by their 4 points in 6 games against competing teams in comparison to Meute's 9 points in 8 games against competing teams. - As the member behind the greatest PIMer post-expansion/rivalry game era (in fact probably the greatest PIMer of all-time if you consider the norms for different eras), it's encouraging to see Petenis with 130+ PIMs in just 30 games. If he were to keep that pace up, he would be challenging Edwin Encarnacion's post rivalry era record of 288 PIMs, which is also the tenth highest all-time PIM total. However despite that, and despite leading defensemen in three all-time statistics, he's still not in the Hall of Fame, which is utter bollocks really.
