hedgehog337 3,483
*The same smile is on Greg Harbinson's face - much like NJD, he has the first pick* I like to running ahead of schedule and this time isn't an exception. There is not much left in this season and some team GM's are already thinking about their off-season actions. Without further ado, I'll try to predict the off-season moves of every VHL team. CALGARY WRANGLERS I don't think @eaglesfan036 will do much in this off-season, besides drafting two more players to his team. He isn't going to rush things as NY is getting older and Seattle is about to have a longer rebuild than Calgary has, so he has only Toronto to beat. NEW YORK AMERICANS The main question is, who is going to replace Tom Lincoln? I see @Devise might look at Tyson Kohler's way, but he won't have a cap for it and that would force Diana Maxwell to change the team as she has the player option for S55. So I think he's going to aim for the younger players to have a better future. QUEBEC CITY MEUTE @Frank will try to sign more depth players. The main core is staying in Quebec, but the team is going to lose some players due to forced retirement (Rodriguez and Virtanen) and AK 47 might test FA waters (if Frank doesn't resigns him). Depth=all for QUE. SEATTLE BEARS One of the most exciting teams of this off-season. @Banackock already voiced his uncertainty with Seattle's future and two low first round picks doesn't really helps him. I think he's going to try to sell Fedorov and Axelberry, but even there he would have some problems with it - his own defenseman can be sold with an ease, but V2A...I don't see any team needs him at this point. So: Fedorov out, Axel stays in. TORONTO LEGION Much like Calgary, @DollarAndADream won't do much in this off-season. He didn't get the first pick and I don't think he is ready to compete. He will try to beat Calgary in the race of rebuilding teams and start making noise in S56. COLOGNE EXPRESS Another team that won't have an exciting off-season. I think @gregreg realizes he isn't going to beat Davos for competing in next season, he needs to beat Riga for S56 instead. And the first pick a.k.a. Felix Savard definitely is going to help to achieve that plan. DAVOS DYNAMO @Smarch is going to compete, no doubts about it. Davos has the best setup of all rebuilding teams and it's not going to be a surprise to see thew new names in this team. It remains to be seen how many picks he's going to give for players - I've heard he is even willing to give his lotto pick. HELSINKI TITANS @Higgins will need to find a replacement for SWC III. Also, 3 of 4 defs are regressing and I'm already calling the HEL/SEA trade, where Fedorov is going to provide a nice future for this team. I know there's Diego Jokinen who's waiting for his debut, but he's a depth player at most. RIGA REIGN Selling. There's no secret I'm going to try to sell Leblanc and Petenis, because there's no need to make the same mistake again and I need more fresh players to my team. STOCKHOLM VIKINGS I know @Advantage has the skills to solve the tough problems, but this time it's going to be another hard off-season for him. Kohler might go to FA, so are Klingberg, Jenkins and Kopralkov. Also, Sven Wolf is retiring and that could leave the Vikings behind Davos and Helsinki. Another exciting team to see. That's it and I'm out. 6 TPE goes to Petenis Gudnason and DollarAndADream 2 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/40591-claimed-the-possible-off-season-moves-from-each-team/ Share on other sites
