Devise 4,475
Despite all the sour things going on in his VHL career, there is a bright spot for Team Scandinavia's Verner Reinholdt. That is of course that he gets to represent his country of Sweden in an international competition, as well has a chance to actually place and medal. For Verner the excitement goes even further, as he has a chance to play on a line with Theo Axelsson, a prominent player currently in the VHL represented by the @solas agency. Verner showed up to camp rocking a Helsinki Titans Continental Cup Champion hat no less, firing more controversy about Verners future in the VHL. The pair were pretty chummy as they went into the back together, and speaking to media Verner explained why, as the two players have a bit of history. Quote Yeah Theo is my boy. Not literally or anything like that but y'know I used to babysit for him and I knew his family when he was younger? He's from Vasteras and when I got going in my hockey career it's no secret that I didn't spend a lot of time overseas. So I would play at different leagues and levels and enjoy the game as much as I could. Well I was on a team in Vasteras when he was younger, and his family big hockey fans got to know me a little bit and one night when I was injured I babysat for them. So it's kind of a cool thing to not only represent my country, get my mind off what was just a horrible time in Oslo with that club, not in any part to the guys or that franchise really. Just the league in the VHLM let's just say wasn't a great experience this year for a lot of us. And I don't know where my VHL career is going. But this tournament allows me to put all that in the rearview and hopefully play on a line with a legit great player in Theo. We got Sven Wolf on our club this season too another great Sweden guy, so I know we as a line if we get to go out there are looking to do some damage and have some fun together. Do our countries proud. solas 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/40716-reinholdt-pumped-to-join-team-scandinavia/ Share on other sites
