The off season has been mostly quiet. Normally by now a big trade or some big rumblings may have occurred but it's been two days since the end of the season and still, nothing. One would have to think a big influencing factor in that is there isn't much to acquire or do for a lot of teams this season. All of the "big four" that is to say the four teams that were really the only teams with a shot to win it all this past season have solid cores. They may not have all their pieces lined up, a few of the teams are losing some players to retirement, there is a notable FA slot in there as well with Diana Maxwell. But all those teams have otherwise a core group of players looking to compete yet again in Season 55. Due to a still replenishing pool it's lead to a situation where we have teams with players they don't have interest in selling and rebuilding clubs hoping to make moves to add to an up and coming core with not really much of a market to be found.

Ultimately this leads to a quiet off season. With World Cup going on perhaps it's for the best, and as mentioned above we could still see some action come free agency with at least a couple of players. All told though unless one of the four big competing teams with the most established core decides to rebuild or massively retool, Season 55 could be a historically quiet season as it relates to moves, trades, or anything to that degree.
