Smarch 3,194
Davos Ready to Roll After missing the playoffs last season and finishing with the Fourth Overall pick in the draft lottery, General Manager Conner Low knew he wouldn’t likely be able to bring in two players that will make an impact with the team immediately. So Low contacted Riga’s General Manager and traded all his picks in the Season Fifty-Five VHL Entry draft just to move up one spot. Although it may look weird to outsiders regarding the price paid to move up one spot, Low didn’t want to let the prospect the had his eye on get away from his grasps. With Season Fifty-Five just around the corner in the VHL, Davos hopes to make some noise in the European Conference this season, but only time will tell if Low’s roster has what it takes to compete with the big boys in the conference. Today we’ll look at some of those players on the roster and what we except out of each player moving forward. Shawn Gretzky Gretzky was the first prospect that Low handed when he took over the Dynamo in the off-season last year, now Gretzky look to take his play to the next level in his sophomore season. Gretzky had a decent rookie campaign considering the lack of roster players on Davos last year, managing to put up thirty-two goals and twenty-eight assists in seventy-two games played for the Dynamo. With no other center on the roster as the team heads into Season Fifty-Five, Gretzky will likely have another huge workload on his shoulders again this season. Takashi Fujimoto Fujimoto will be joining the Dynamo this season after being picked by the team Tenth Overall in the Season Fifty-Four VHL Entry Draft. After having a great season that concluded with a Founders Cup win with Las Vegas in the VHLM, Fujimoto hopes to bring that winning culture with him to the Dynamo in Season Fifty-Five. Fujimoto slipped slightly in the draft due to the uncertainness of his future in the league, but if the past year is any indication, Fujimoto seems poised and ready to bring his best each night to the VHL. Fujimoto will likely be penciled in on the Dynamos top line alongside Gretzky this season, and management hopes they can ride those two to a cup final in the near future. Elijah Dotran Dotran was the first free-agent signing for Low in his VHL GM career, someone that Low had been checking in with on the trade front for over a season now. Dotran comes to the Dynamo after spending four seasons split between New York and Riga. Low has some familiarity with Dotran and he agent, as Low traded for Dotran during his tenure as GM with the Brampton Blades of the VHLM. Dotran had a career year with the Reign last season posting a very admirable four goals and seventy-five assists on the season. Dotran will bring a much needed veteran presence into the Dynamo locker-room and on the blue-line, but time will tell how much of an impact that truly will be. TheLastOlympian07 2,388
Review Very good review of the youngsters on Davos. Hopefully we continue to improve this season which I mean we should be able too. Me Pablo and Fuji are a year older and better, Trombone is coming up to give more depth plus we signed Dotran to help Pablo also cant forget about Yeah coming on to give us a very good backup. The signatures look very nice and go with the purple header.
