Banackock 8,048
Mattias Forsberg isn't making leaps or gains in the gym. He isn't the hardest working prospect out there, nor is he the most skilled. However, he's at least had a consistent weekly training, even if it's not the best available to him. Last week, was the VHL entry draft and by default pick due to his relations with the Seattle bears management, as of next season, Mattias Forsberg likely will find a new home. Coming into the Bears organization as the only center, it lays a huge importance on himself and the role. Centers are huge throughout the league, and upon entering the doors for the first time in Seattle, GM Blake Campbell had a sit down with the young, Swedish forward. He basically told me that they're counting on me to really step it up this season. He told me the role of center is an important one in the game of hockey but especially in the Victory Hockey League. There was a time when it was tough to come by them and though this second player option really opens up the door, it's still one of the bigger positions as it's easier at times to nab wingers. I'm not here to let my team down and you can expect a little bit of an edge to my game and training over the following season. I really want to make some noise and for when the time comes, to be ready to contribute for the Seattle Bears.
