Ottawa, Ontario, CA/Delevan, Wisconsin, USA - Breaking news this afternoon is that two eight-week old Baby Lynx were stolen from a mascot training facility in southern Wisconsin. The facility is home to renowned mascot trainer, Doug Glatt, of Halifax fame. Upon completion of his hockey career in Canada, Doug decided to take his love of animals and turn himself into a live mascot trainer.  "These Siberian Lynx are not house cats people." Doug said, "They will hurt you. They will hurt you bad." Mogli and Blue appear to have been taken from the facility sometime around 3am this morning. A red and black truck can be seen on the security videos, with what appears to be two large males unloading cages and then returning shortly after loading the cages back up. Doug says the trucks do not belong to the facility. "No way. They are not ours. While we do have similar trucks as those seen In the video, ours are painted orange and blue." Many people in the community are outraged that such a business even exists. One resident shouted "This is sickening what you're doing! Taking live animals and training them to be mascots!" Doug made it absolutely clear to the residents that he takes the utmost care when handling these animals and they are treated like kings and queens. "When it comes to training animals, many people have a false sense of what happens. Abuse, hitting, small pens, etc. That's not the case. These animals are cared for very, very well. All the training is strictly reinforcement cognitive learning, where they get treats based on repeating an act. You've all seen live mascots around the country, they are royalty!" It was initially unclear as to why Ottawa chose two Lynx for their mascots, but an unnamed spokesperson for Ottawa released a brief statement:

"We are well aware of the developing situation happening in Wisconsin with the missing Lynx. We have had many people reach out to us as to why we even had two, let alone one of these Siberian Lynx. The answer to that question is simple, on a recent vacation, our GM came across a Siberian Lynx that had been hit by a car, along her side were two babies. With no other parent in site, he decided to bring them back to Canada and have them be our mascots."

Some Ottawa players suspect foul play. "Red and black truck eh?" Said Niko Bogdonavic "Oslo colors. I'd go ask them about this."

"We just want the Lynx back." Pleaded Doug "While we may be training them, they are far from being a domesticated animal. They will hurt you. Please do not harm them. If you return them safely we will not press any charges. We just want Mogli and our boy Blue back home safe."
